This video features an overhead SHY Zip Screen. The blind is designed to provide 100% blackout (where needed) to skylight roof windows, but can be used effectively in many other similar applications.
The Standard Overhead SHY Zip Screen features one motor which retracts the fabric on opening, and two very powerful 3.2kg tension cables to pull the blind closed.
The blind in this video has been installed into a London town house, which has a large open skylight area of approx 1400mm x 2400mm.
The blind provides 100% blackout when used in broad daylight, and due to the energy efficient PVC backed woven fabric, the blind provides excellent heat retensive, and heat reflective benefits.
In order to cover larger areas than the window shown in this video, an FTS (fabric tensioning system) should be used. See http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qj58Mxp9hLA for a demonstration.
