What is the proper way to set venetian blinds to allow the least light in?

	I always set them to point down and away from you, they’re wooden so don’t have a curve, I always figure the sun comes down so having them this way will prevent the sun coming directly through the gaps. References : http://www.lifestyleblinds.com
