My vertical blinds stopped moving all of a sudden. We just moved here and the blinds worked perfectly. Now when I turn the stick it does nothing. I am unable to slide the stick across to open them either. The stick won’t budge. Any idea what happened? or what I can do?
Hello Victoria T,
I am a decor associate from The Home Depot in Atlanta. vertical blinds can be a tricky sort, but usually the diagnosis of them not working is more often than not inside the track. You may need a stepladder for this (as short as I am I know I would lol). Look carefully where the wand (stick) turns the slats for your blinds. Check to see if the internal (usually plastic) interior track is caught on the wand tilt attachment. Also, inspect the entire track by pushing any or all of the slat attachments to the left or right where the attachments meet the internal track. You may also have to put a dab of WD40 or spray lubricant to get them moving along. This should remedy your situation, as the internal track is usually the culprit for vertical blind movement issues. But again, inspect all attachments to the internal track and hopefully this will resolve your stuck issue.
Cheers,
